This is my story
I am 5 ft 2 in and weigh 10 st 11 lbs.
I have been retired since 1995 - have looked after my 2 grandsons since they were about 6 months to allow both their parents to work full-time. Now just have to take them to school and home so a bit less running around. Weighed 7 stone 7 lbs when I got married neary 45 years ago and have gained about 3 stones over the years. Would really like to lose 1 1/2 to 2 stones since most of the fat gained is around the middle and unhealthy. Weight gain started when I (foolishly) believed an overweight neighbour who said I was too thin and she'd be worried to be that thin!! This idea has followed all my dieting efforts and as soon as I manage to lose about 7 lbs I subconcously think about 'thin' equalling unhealthy. Am really annoyed since I should not be this heavy. Hoping the GDA diet will do the trick - feeling positive now. |
