Over the summer, visitors and locals can enjoy special events and festivals throughout the length and breadth of Scotland as part of the Year of Food & Drink celebrations.21-07-2010

Come sample Scottish cuisine as The International Culinary Tourism Association, in its first ever worldwide study, has recently declared Scotland as one of the most "unique, memorable and interesting" places for food and drink on the planet.  It praised Scotland’s range of high-quality agricultural and seafood produce, as well as whiskies, soups, jams and cheeses.

From Edinburgh’s exhilarating new ‘Festival in the Sky’ to eatBute to the Blas Festival in the Highlands, there are many events to tempt the taste buds. Scottish Food Fortnight is also taking place during September with events happening across the land.

The Year of Food and Drink celebrations, which will continue until May 2011, are highlighting the best of Scotland and the wealth of top quality locally sourced food and drink which is nurtured at source and enjoyed the world over.
