Mile High Drinks invites consumers to join the jet set with the launch of a unique range of functional drinks designed to combat the side effects of flying.08-10-2007
Set to propel into the UK market in early 2008, Mile High Drinks is the brainchild of Richard Hammond, who flew with BA for 15 years, and naturopathic nutritionist Stuart Roberts.
We're constantly bombarded with facts about the health dangers of flying: dehydration, an increased risk of viral infections, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and if that wasn't enough to take the shine off your romantic getaway, then there are the ever-present problems of travel sickness, lethargy and jetlag.
Hammond knows all about the health risks of flying following 15 years of experience working on planes around the world, so he put his head together with Roberts to create a range of drinks that will help minimise these health risks.
Mile High is a 100% natural juice-based tonic, not from concentrate, which will initially be available in two varieties: Original and Pomegranate. Both of the drinks have been tested by aircrews to alleviate the problems of lethargy and jet lag that we can all experience on planes. The unique combination of ingredients ensures that each Mile High Drink is packed full of vitamins, minerals and powerful antioxidants, which can boost the immune system and help the body cope better with flying. The Original variant contains a powerful mix of juices that are packed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. Pomegranate offers all the goodness of the Original version but with additional antioxidants from the ‘superfruit’ (for more information about the recipe please go to

Hammond says: "We are not a health drink but we're not just another juice either. With Mile High we worked hard to find a drink that would help people to combat the bad effects of air travel. It enables them to be fully fit and ready for whatever awaits them on landing."
